My connection to spiritualism is deeply rooted in my ancestral heritage. It started out with me manifesting, then I dived into mythology, symbolism, history and occult practices. Then something amazing happened: I started venerating my ancestors. And they were calling me home. Hoodoo was home.

Both of my grandmothers, each representing the rich tapestry of my family's heritage, practiced Hoodoo in their own unique ways, shaped by their distinct regional influences. My paternal grandmother, rooted in the rich cultural fabric of the East Coast, brought forth a version of Hoodoo infused with the traditions of her ancestors, melded with elements of herbalism and ritualistic practices steeped in the coastal landscape. Meanwhile, my maternal grandmother, hailing from the Deep South, embraced the deeply spiritual and secretive aspects of Hoodoo. As a spiritualist, I felt a profound calling to create an inclusive space where both practitioners and non-practitioners of Hoodoo could come together, honoring these ancient practices and sharing their wisdom. Thus, Manifestye was born—a sanctuary for connection, learning, and the celebration of our shared spiritual heritage.

OUR STORY

As I grew older, my fascination with African Traditional Religions and occult practices only deepened. I found myself drawn to the mysticism surrounding African spirituality, the languages of the Orishas, and the intricate web of ancestral wisdom that connects us all. I devoured books, attended workshops, and practiced tirelessly to hone my craft. And as I delved deeper into the world of Hoodoo and spiritualism as a whole, I realized that it was not just a practice, but a way of life – a way to connect with the divine, to honor my ancestors, and to tap into the hidden forces that shape our reality.
